www.incompetech.com/graphpaper/The site above is a great resource for free printable pdf paper. Various styles include graph, writing, music, etc. Using their built-in application, you can adjust the spacing and color of the lines if you wish.

good site; we have a tutor who is trying to develop new strategies to use to overcome her student's inability to memorize; she practices multiplication facts, then promptly forgets them; any ideas on how to help?

Regarding memorizing, I assume you are working with paper and pencil now (or a calculator?) ... remembering our tutor training, why not try to use domino tiles, numbers face down, or maybe a set of plastic poker chips and prepare multiplication facts using smaller examples. Have student manipulate a number of chips in problem solving versus the paper or calculator. Also, if a fact is completely forgotten, it may not have been understood in the first place. Have the student repeat back to determine their level of understanding.

Perhaps the multiplication tables are too difficult. Would starting with addition and gradually working up to multiplication be an option? Isn't multiplication just addition on steroids?

Whoops! We got totally off topic here! Shouldn't we have a separate thread for the memorization subject? Might make it easier for tutors to find the information...
